  • "dominus" more accurately translates to "lord" (someone you are "subject" to by birth) a "master" is someone qualified to teach a art/craft (someone you "subject" yourself to for your own benefit) a "lord" is someone who owns the rights to a piece of land and everything living on said land

  • It is interesting how foolishly you are equating capitalism with greed, narcissism and perversity (psychological perversity).Capitalism is just a system of free market, which has produced the most free societies humanity has ever had. Check the communist and socialist countries, the millions that have died wether be by repression or hunger, all poor with fear and little freedoms, all for the same reasons, domination, greed, narcissism and perversity. So f* off with your capitalism is bad sh*t. It is ok to want to fix the abuse and make things better, but don't f*cking blame a system that has given you the freedom and power most other countries never get to experience. Take a trip to Mao's China, Venezuela, Soviet Russia, or Cuba, and then tell me to the face without blinking that capitalism is the worst evil in the world.

  • What you were referring to is botched capitalism not real capitalism. Capitalism has its flaws, but only because it’s created by flawed beings. Real capitalism returns all the tax money back to the people while botched capitalism, which seems to be the type of capitalism which you are implying is a theme in the boys, came into being with guys like Vanderbelt, Carnegie, Ford etc.

Richard CarteRichard CarteIl y a mois
    • Raúl Raúl absolutely I would say yes that was the point of the comment I made. However again we are gaining some ground and if you keep having these thoughts that these people are just in now and that they are just to powerful that we can never find Justice against them, which seems to be the train of thought that you are showing, but correct me if I’m wrong, we are never gonna accomplish that. You need to think positively but realistically. Like I said we are gaining some ground but we still got a ways to go.

      Richard CarteRichard CarteIl y a 29 jours

    • Raúl Raúl that’s why patriots like myself are gaining A lot of ground as of late, Through not only activism but spreading information through the internet and word of mouth among other ways. The narrator this video should’ve been more specific as to what kind of capitalism they’re talking about. That’s how people get confused about exactly what he was talking about. Or maybe he thinks this is capitalism in which case the narrator is severely uneducated as to what it is.The president has alreadyBut that all of my tax returns to us but there are still companies that hold a lot of ground in industries that still continue to monopolize. We still got some ways to go but we’re getting there.

  • I don't really think it's the Monopoly Man dominating us, not really, or at least, not purely on their own without any help. Multinational corporations can absolutely be a tool of domination and often are, but this idea that it's big bad business abusing amd strong arming innocent amd well-meaning government in particular is laughable. Corporations only get away with their exploitative activities because of government favoritism/leeway and government empowerment (just off the top of my head, Disney completely screwing up copyright standards over the decades because the goverment through the Supreme Court allowed it). In the case of this pharmeceutical company/super weapons comtractor, Vaught, it wouldn't even exist in a real world if it wasn't already a government contractor, at leas it wouldn't last for very long, amd certainly wouldn't have as much power as it does. For as cynically raw and often realistic as The Boys can be, the idea that the government wouldn't want supes in the military, that they wouldn't already have major contracts with Vaught or that Vaught wouldn't be a company birthed through government contracts like Ratheon and all of those other military indistrialist complex companies is then one "real world" aspect of the show that is extremely unrealistic. Even the the original The Boys comic acknowledged the exploitative role of government inheremt to the ability of unchecked and unchallenged corporate exploitation by making Vaught a government contractor from the very beginning. Don't get me wrong, Vaught and "big business" is and can absolutely be exploitative to the little guy, to individuals and smaller business, but they only acquire that long-lasting, corrupting, dominating power and maintain it because the government enables it. The problem here isn't really "capitalism." The inherent role of government in business amd that incestuous relationship that comes with it keams that "corporatism" is the problem. "Corporatism," "cronyism," "crony (innaccurately and so-called) capitalism," "economic fascism,' whatever you wakt to call it, you don't get it without government favoritism and direct involvement, whereas actual capitalism entails the voluntary exchange of goods and services for mutual benefit. Capitalism and corporatism are not one and the same, a d although I probably don't consider myself an Objectivist, to the old gal's credit, Ayn Rand actually makes a very important distinction between capitalists/capitalism and the corporatists, the so-called capitalists who exploit, dominate, cheat and appeal to and get un bed with governkent power to get ahead at the expense of the little guy, the kind of crooked businessmen she very accurately identified as a parasite on society. That kind of parasite wjll always exist, but they only get as large, far-reaching and powerful with few to no checks or balances because of the ultimate exploiter and dominator, unchecked, unrestrained and unaccountable governmrnt. You don't get one without the other, and for as bad as big business can be, government embodies the monopolization of the legitimate use of violence, or as the video puts it socially legitimate domination."

What I call short term superficial power. Cultural power/ Anglo colonization is the exact same mind set of Romans, Hitler's Aryan nation, civil war defending slavery, make America great again. Person, product, entertainment and distraction is one and the same. This show is an childish way of doing it.

  • I disagree with the part about capitalism. Vought is pretty much in bed with the government, in fact on the Boys wiki, it says, quote: *They have been shown to be quite corrupt and corporatist, with the only goal of getting The Seven into the US military.* corporatism being the opposite of capitalism, with capitalism being the an economic system where private individuals and private businesses own capital goods. Key word "private" as in absent of government.

It's not a result of "capitalism" or "religion", it's a byproduct of nature. If you think socialism will correct "victimization of the masses" you are in for a very bad surprise. Power may change hands, but it will ultimately be consolidated back into in the hands of the powerful. At least in capitalism, the consumer has somewhat of a choice. If you hate it, start your own socialist commune.

Even if they do, the chances of such an astronomical genetic drift would be extremely WAY too small to happen by coincidence! I mean, what if ALL those quirks popping around the world is a conspiracy-laden plot of internationally-connected corporations to test out superhuman enhancing compounds, exploit the new heroes and their newfound powers to further profit from their vigilante symbolic images AND build their empire of war-mongering military industrial complexes?
